Cockroach milk study helps Indian scientists win Ig Nobel Prize
Indian scientists were among an international team that won the Ig Nobel Chemistry Prize for their study on cockroach milk. Their research showed that milk protein crystals produced by viviparous cockroaches pack over three times the energy of an equivalent mass of dairy milk. India-linked researchers included Sanchari Banerjee, Nitish Sathyanarayanan, Jandhyam Srikanth and Subramanian Ramaswamy.
