ED arrested Ribhav Rishi and Abhay Kumar, both ex-employees of IDFC First Bank, on May 11. They were involved in the embezzlement of public funds amounting to ₹645 crore from the bank accounts of Haryana government, Chandigarh UT administration, and two other entities. They allegedly created shell entities that received funds directly embezzled from various accounts of the government department.
