The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, has approved Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) 5.0 to support businesses hit by the West Asia crisis. The scheme targets an additional credit flow of ₹2.55 lakh crore for MSMEs, non-MSMEs, and the airline sector. It offers 100% guarantee coverage for MSMEs and 90% coverage for non-MSMEs and airlines.
