Govt eases defence export rules to help Indian industry access global markets

The Defence Ministry has reformed defence export rules and the Open General Export Licence (OGEL) framework to ease Indian industry's access to foreign markets. OGEL provides eligible exporters one-time authorisation for multiple defence consignments, eliminating separate approvals for each shipment. The reforms support India's goal of achieving ₹50,000 crore in defence exports by 2029-30.
