Suraj Lama, whose Momo shops were shut by FDA over violations, was once Shahid's driver

Tukaram Mundhe-led Maharashtra FDA shut down outlets of Suraj Lama Momos in Mumbai's Andheri over serious lapses in food handling, improper storage, lack of cleanliness and other issues. Lama, who's originally from Darjeeling, worked as driver for Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions before beginning to sell momos on a cycle in 2017. He then opened outlets.
