Researchers at University of Geneva created a "smart" DNA-based drug system that can identify cancer cells with extreme precision and release drugs only when specific tumour signals are present. Built from synthetic DNA, this system can deliver multiple drugs at once, potentially overcoming resistance and it will also help in preventing damage to healthy tissues.
