Sam Altman recalls rejecting Goldman Sachs internship, calls working there 'terrible'
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said he was "peer-pressured and tricked into" applying for an internship at Goldman Sachs during his college years. "At the time, that was the cool thing. That was what everybody wanted to do," he said. Recalling that he ultimately did not work there, Altman said the prospect of working at the company sounds "unbelievably terrible" now.
