FSSAI has issued a notice to alcoholic beverage makers over the unauthorised use of added flavours and misleading age-related claims. The regulator said some firms were using flavours to mimic natural product profiles and making age claims. FSSAI also flagged non-compliance in blend age disclosures, stating that declared age must refer to the youngest spirit in the blend.
