GST Council may raise tax on old, used EVs to 18%: Report

GST Council could hike GST on old and used electrical vehicles (EVs) and smaller petrol and diesel vehicles from 12% to 18%, CNBC-TV18 reported. The proposal could be discussed at the GST Council's meeting this week in Jaisalmer. Currently, old and used larger vehicles and SUVs are already taxed at 18%.
