Over 3,200 trees have been planted using a drum plantation technique on barren and saline land in Gujarat's Dholera. The project implemented by the Gujarat Forest Department and launched in 2025 has planted trees of 15 species that are flourishing in extreme conditions. The technique requires saplings to be planted in barrels filled with fertile soil so they can grow.
