SC to hear plea over 'unpredictable airfare fluctuations' on Sept 7

Supreme Court will hear a plea on Monday seeking regulatory guidelines to control "unpredictable fluctuations" in airfares imposed by private airlines. The government submitted draft rules in response to the plea in August and asked SC for three weeks to finalise them. The plea also said private airlines reduced free check-in baggage from 25 to 15 kg without any justification.
