One of the world's largest aluminium factories may be shut for a year after Iran strikes

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) has announced that its Al Taweelah site, one of the world's largest aluminium production facilities, could remain out of order for up to 12 months after Iranian strikes dealt "significant damage". EGA said it has to repair infrastructure damage and progressively restore each of the reduction cells. The facility had entered emergency shutdown after the strikes.
