Aariana Rose Phillip, a Black transgender woman and model with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, made a landmark appearance at the Met Gala. She modelled as a mannequin at the exhibition. Expressing gratitude over her appearance, Rose said, " Girls, I've made it...I felt like I had to fight for almost a decade to feel heard and valued in the industry."
