People who live past 110 have abundance of 'killer' immune cells: Study

Japanese researchers have found that supercentenarians, people aged 110 or older, have unusually high levels of specialised immune cells called CD4 cytotoxic T lymphocytes, which can kill abnormal cells. The study found these rare "killer" cells continue to expand and adapt in extremely old adults. Researchers analysed blood samples from 28 adults across three age groups: 70-99, 100-109, and 110+.
