A seven-foot hole opened on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Gujarat's Bharuch district after a part of a bridge slab collapsed. The expressway's section was opened on a trial basis even as improvement work was underway to ease traffic on NH-48. A truck overturned after the hole appeared and the bridge's iron reinforcement bars became visible, raising safety concerns among locals.
