DoT terminates Reliance Communication spectrum over payment default

Department of Telecommunications (DoT) terminated the spectrum assigned to Reliance Communications for defaulting on payment of spectrum usage charges and for failing to meet roll-out obligations. The terminated spectrum include 1.25 MHz, 3 MHz and 5 MHz across Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and other places. The spectrum assignments have been reverted to the government after termination.
