Meta's Q3 profit falls 50% amid ₹1.7 lakh crore settlement: Report

Meta reported a profit of $9.86 billion in Q3-2026, down by more than 50% from what investors had expected, Hindustan Times reported citing source. This comes after Meta agreed to an $18 billion (₹1.71-lakh crore) settlement in August to resolve multi-state lawsuits alleging that Facebook harmed youth's mental health. The company now also faces a $25-billion fine in New Mexico.
