The US Senate confirmed Todd Blanche as Attorney General, installing President Donald Trump's former personal criminal defense lawyer as the nation's top law enforcement official. He narrowly won approval in a 50-49 vote. Blanche was promoted to Acting Attorney General after Pam Bondi's removal from the position in April. He has been part of Trump's defense team since 2023.
