Shooter at White House event charged with attempted assassination of Trump

Cole Thomas Allen, who's accused in shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, has been charged with attempted assassination of US President Donald Trump and two firearms crimes. If convicted, the 31-year-old faces a life sentence. During the event on Saturday, Allen had bypassed security and fired shots as he moved towards the venue before he was caught.
