Founder and Chairperson of Biocon, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, has named her niece Claire Mazumdar as her successor. Claire is the Founder and CEO of Biocon-incubated Bicara Therapeutics, a biotech company. The 37-year-old holds degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford Graduate School of Business. Her husband, Thomas Roberts, is an oncologist at Massachusetts General Hospital.
