5 Bangladeshis jailed for 2 years over illegal entry in Tripura

A Tripura court sentenced five Bangladeshi nationals to two years of rigorous imprisonment in two separate illegal entry cases in Unakoti district. Three men entered via Rangauti border on February 1 and a couple was detained in Kailasahar in June 2024. All were convicted under the Foreigners Act and fined ₹10,000 each.
