After India raised concerns over the attack on minorities in Bangladesh, citing Dipu Chandra Das' lynching, Dhaka called it an "isolated attack". Dhaka spoke about the "unjustified incident" outside Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi despite MEA saying that the protesters were controlled within minutes. Hindus were attacked and temples were vandalised in 2024 too after Sheikh Hasina's ouster.
