A Delhi court dismissed the defamation case filed by Lipika Mitra, wife of AAP leader Somnath Bharti, against Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Mitra alleged that Sitharaman's 2024 remarks about her past marital dispute aimed to tarnish Bharti's reputation and damage his electoral prospects during Lok Sabha elections. "I don't see anything in this matter to proceed further," the judge said.
