Alcohol may get costlier in Delhi as govt plans excise duty hike: Report

Liquor prices in Delhi could rise as the Delhi government plans to increase excise duty and retail margins to boost revenue under its new excise policy, The Indian Express reported. The policy is likely to be notified in October. Officials said there could also be changes to liquor-serving timings at hotels, clubs and restaurants.
