TN village gets first govt bus service since Independence

Ayan Reddiapatti in Tamil Nadu received its first government bus service on September 13, 2026 — over 78 years after Independence. TN Social Justice Minister Vanni Arasu, a native of the village, shared the milestone on X. Residents welcomed the inaugural bus with flowers and flags. Arasu thanked CM C Joseph Vijay and Transport Minister Parthiban for facilitating the service.
