Over the last 12 years, India has sent earthquake relief to several countries. It launched Operation Maitri for Nepal (2015), Operation Samudra Maitri for Indonesia (2018), Operation Dost for Türkiye and Syria (2023), Operation Brahma for Myanmar (2025), and humanitarian aid to Afghanistan (2025). India has now launched Operation Amistad (a Spanish word for friendship) for Venezuela.
