The government is reportedly considering a proposal to waive off over ₹1 lakh crore of adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues owed by telecom companies in Budget 2025. The proposal includes waiving 50% of interest and 100% of penalties and interest on penalties, reports said. The move would majorly benefit Vodafone Idea to the tune of around ₹52,000 crore.
