Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) reportedly won polls against rival NCPSP led by his uncle Sharad Pawar in 29 Maharashtra Assembly constituencies. NCP won 41 out of 59 seats it contested, while NCPSP won 10 out of 86 constituencies where it fielded candidates. Founded by Sharad Pawar, NCP split last year as Ajit rebelled, taking 41 MLAs with him.
