World's 'greenest' party balloon invented

Imperial College London researchers have developed what they say is the world's first truly biodegradable party balloon. It is designed to fully break down in compost within roughly nine months. Called Bioloon, it uses natural latex blended with another biodegradable polymer and avoids conventional sulphur vulcanisation. The researchers said it is easier to inflate.
