PM Narendra Modi welcomed the rollout of Centre’s Ayushman Bharat scheme in West Bengal, as announced by newly elected CM Suvendu Adhikari. “I’m very happy that the people of the state will have access to Ayushman Bharat, the world’s largest healthcare scheme ensuring quality healthcare,” he said. The previous TMC-led government had blocked its implementation citing its own healthcare scheme.
