GIC adds 1,000 hospitals to cashless network in FY27

The General Insurance Council has added 1,000 hospitals to its common empanelment network since the start of FY27, bringing the total to 3,000. The initiative allows hospitals to join multiple insurers via a single digital platform. The council targets 5,000 hospitals by FY27-end, focusing on tier-2, tier-3, and remote areas to expand cashless health insurance access.
