Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said India is working on developing its own generative AI model powered by India AI Compute Facility. He said there are at least six major developers who can develop AI models in maximum of six to eight months. The facility has 19,000 GPUs, including over 14,000 Nvidia chips, and 10,000 are ready for immediate use.
