Kerala reported 28,481 new COVID-19 cases and 39 deaths, the health department said. Notably, the government also added 83 backlog deaths to the tally on Tuesday, taking the death toll to 51,026. Over 7,000 people recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 52,36,013. Kerala has 1,42,512 active COVID-19 cases.
