After Falta repoll in West Bengal, the Calcutta High Court vacated the interim protection granted to TMC leader Jahangir Khan. The court observed that it would be unjust to extend protection to Khan solely on the basis of a change in the political scenario and his allegations of political vendetta. His protection had earlier been extended on May 18.
