STT hike on F&O trades may have pushed traders to riskier bets: Nithin Kamath

Nithin Kamath said higher Securities Transaction Tax and other measures to curb futures and options speculation may have pushed traders towards "riskier trading behaviour". He noted that while options buying has become popular, only 10% of the buyers on Zerodha are profitable. Repeated options buying often leads to greater losses over time than trading futures or selling options, he added.
