Iran has allowed Iraqi oil tankers to pass through Strait of Hormuz: Report

Iran has granted special permission to Iraqi oil tankers to pass through Strait of Hormuz, Iranian state news agency IRNA reported. The decision came after Iraq reportedly raised the issue through multiple channels. Amid uncertainty over Hormuz due to US-Iran war, Iraq has been seeking to increase oil exports through Turkey’s Ceyhan port, Syria’s Baniyas port and Jordan’s Aqaba port.
