Claims of MP petrol pumps not accepting UPI payments over ₹2,000 are fake: Indian Oil

Indian Oil has fact-checked a viral message claiming Madhya Pradesh petrol pump owners will reject UPI payments over ₹2,000 in protest against 0.4% MDR, calling the claims misleading. "Some individuals who're not even petroleum dealers themselves have made such baseless claims," Indian Oil said. It also denied claims that a "No-UPI Day" will be observed in Indore on September 23.
