IIT-Madras' Bodhan AI launches 4 AI models that can talk in 27 Indian languages
Bodhan AI, incubated by IIT Madras, launched four foundational AI models for Indian languages as part of effort to build sovereign technology layer for India's multilingual education ecosystem. The models, released as digital public goods, handle automatic speech recognition (ASR), optical character recognition (OCR), machine translation and text-to-speech. The ASR model supports 27 languages.
