Anushka Yadav from Uttar Pradesh broke the national record in hammer throw with a throw of 67.02m at the Inter-State Athletics Championships in Odisha's Bhubaneswar. The 18-year-old first surpassed the previous national record of 65.25m set by Sarita Singh nine years ago with an effort of 65.64m before improving her throw further. Anushka also breached the Asian Games qualification standard.
