Cop, removed from service for robbing SBI branch, arrested for robbing SBI again

A dismissed Maharashtra Police sub-inspector, who was removed from service in 2023 after being named in a ₹3.17-crore robbery at an SBI branch, has been arrested for allegedly masterminding a ₹36.48-crore robbery at another SBI branch. He and three accomplices were arrested within hours of the robbery, with police recovering the stolen cash and around 27 kg of gold ornaments.
