NHAI links highway payments to plantation targets

NHAI has tightened plantation rules for national highway projects, requiring contractors to plant on 80% of available ROW and maintain 90% sapling survival rate. Completion certificates and O&M payments under EPC, HAM, and BOT projects will now depend on meeting these targets. Dead plants must be replaced with saplings of similar age and growth.
