During hearing of a PIL, Supreme Court asked Centre and RBI why details of bank accounts of deceased persons couldn't be disclosed to heirs. “Suppose a man's got 10 different accounts in different countries...he dies intestate...how do his heirs get details? He may not have done KYC,” SC added. Government should come up with a policy on it, SC said.
