Bhutan eliminates dog-transmitted rabies with one-health approach

Bhutan has become the first South-East Asian country to eliminate dog-transmitted rabies as a public health issue. The success has been credited to the country's decade-long One Health approach, which recognises that the health of humans, animals and ecosystems is interlinked. WHO validated the achievement through its rigorous two-phase assessment by visiting the country's health facilities.
