Left-wing politician Yamandu Orsi has won the Presidential polls in Uruguay. He defeated Alvaro Delgado of the National Party, a member of outgoing President Luis Lacalle Pou's centre-right Republican Coalition. "The horizon is brightening...I am going to be the president who calls for national dialogue again and again," Orsi said in his victory speech.
