Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has confirmed for the first time that Indian refiners are sourcing a part of its crude oil from Iran amid the supply disruptions caused by the Middle East war. "There is no payment hurdle for Iranian crude imports, contrary to the rumours being circulated," it added, while assuring India's crude oil requirements are secure.
