IT services major Cognizant is considering a major workforce reduction that could affect 12,000-15,000 employees globally, with most layoffs expected in India, Moneycontrol reported, citing sources. Cognizant employs over 3 lakh people worldwide, including more than 2,50,000 in India. Several software firms have carried out restructuring in the last year, including TCS, which cut over 12,000 jobs.
