Telangana CM's US visit red flagged over proposed meeting with Mamdani: Reports

A proposed meeting with New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani was among the key factors behind the Ministry of External Affairs' denial of clearance to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy's US visit, reports said. The ministry, however, didn't mention any specific reason, saying that Reddy's programme in the US wasn't considered appropriate for his office and the purpose of the visit.
