BJP passes 10-point resolution opposing Congress' Vande Mataram stand
The BJP passed a 10-point resolution opposing the Congress' decision to reaffirm its 1937 resolution restricting Vande Mataram to its first two stanzas at party programmes. Among its key points, the BJP resolved to uphold the national status of the complete Vande Mataram as National Song and reject attempts to subject it to "communal pressure, or narrow vote-bank considerations".
