Delhi Metro records highest-ever passenger boardings in 1 day

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) recorded 82,44,903 passenger boardings on September 17, the highest-ever in one day. This came as DMRC operated eight extra trains and 20 extra train trips to manage increased footfall amid a DTC bus strike in the capital. The previous record was made on August 8, 2025, with 81,87,674 passenger journeys on Raksha Bandhan eve.
