Super El Niño may cause 15,800 extra deaths in India, claims study

Super El Niño may cause an additional 15,800 deaths in India in the next six months compared to a normal year, a University of Chicago study has claimed. Nearly half of those deaths might occur from December to February and are projected to keep rising till summer. Super El Niño could also cause an additional 4,51,000 deaths across the world.
